“I plan on voting and organizing my friends to vote in the 2018 June primary for Governor of CA, it is an important race for the future of our state. Making a higher education more attainable and a public good for all to benefit from is an important issue for me and many others. California used to have the highest quality public higher education in the world and tuition-free for ALL in-state residents, we need to make that happen again. I support the $48 Fix to do just that, it would cost 50% of California families $48 or less to:
1) eliminate tuition and fees at public colleges in California for everyone
2) restore quality to our schools (smaller class sizes, more full time jobs, fairly paid workers)
3) provide financial aid to cover cost of living expenses.
@Gavin Newsom, @John Chiang for Governor 2018, @Delain Eastin for Governor 2018, @Antonio R. Villaraigosa, @Travis Allen, @John Cox for Governor 2018 as a voter I want to know if you support this and what you plan to do as Governor to enact it.

“Contact” Pages on Campaign Websites: This is a chance to directly contact the campaign with an email through a form on their website. The goal is to make it clear to the campaign that the $48 Fix is an important issue to you and that you want to know what the campaign’s stance. Here is an example
My name is _______ and I live in _______, CA. I am writing to the campaign to urge you to include the $48 Fix in your platform. The $48 Fix would cost the median-family $48 in new taxes and 1) eliminate tuition and fees at public colleges in California for everyone 2) restore quality to our schools 3) provide financial aid to cover cost of living expenses.
Making a higher education more attainable and a public good for all to benefit from is an important issue for me and other voters. I am unhappy with the current model of privatization that has burdened so many young people with debt, worsened our state’s wealth & income inequality, and deteriorated the quality of education. My support will go towards a campaign and strongly embraces this issue.
